Chief Technology Officer

Role Overview:

Our client, a rapidly growing business at the forefront of blockchain innovation, is looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their engineering and product strategy. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Vision & Strategy: Define and execute a forward-thinking technology roadmap that supports scalable, secure, and high-performing decentralised products.

Leadership: Build, mentor and lead a high-calibre, globally distributed engineering team, fostering a culture of autonomy, innovation, and collaboration.

Product & Engineering Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between product design and technical execution.

Innovation & R&D: Stay ahead of emerging trends in Web3, smart contracts, and cryptographic protocols to maintain the business’s competitive edge.

Security & Infrastructure: Oversee the architecture and implementation of secure, resilient systems in a constantly evolving regulatory and threat landscape.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a technical spokesperson, aligning engineering priorities with broader business objectives and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, ideally as CTO or equivalent, within the Web3/blockchain space.
• Strong understanding of decentralised technologies, including Layer 1/Layer 2 protocols, smart contracts, and wallet infrastructure.
• Solid track record of scaling platforms used by global user bases, with a strong focus on security and user experience.
• Deep technical proficiency in modern programming languages and blockchain frameworks.
• Strong leadership ethos centred around empowering teams and encouraging innovation.
• Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and developer communities is a bonus.
• Experience with compliance, cryptographic standards, and high-throughput architecture is advantageous.
